Electron Microscopy Sciences EUKITT 4400 LB Resin 500 ML
EUKITT 4400 LB is a single-component resin that polymerizes under UV light was specially developed for thin ground sectioning technology. It completely passes through hard and soft tissue and is used for embedding and preparing of sections for medical and technical applications. It is characterized by crystal-clear optics with a favorable refractive index, good fluidity and low shrinkage.
The hardening of the embedding medium is done by UV light of a wavelength of 365 nm with 2 x 9 W. The exposure takes place from two sides. During the exposure within the given time (see instruction manual/operating instructions) temperatures of 50°C will not be exceeded.
Fast staining is possible with all known methods, and with the same high quality.
EUKITT EMS 4400 LB does not contain monomers, therefore the vapour pressure is very low. As a consequence the user is not bothered by intense, toxic smell.
Electron Microscopy Sciences EMS CitraMount Mountant 500 ML
This butyl acetate and acrylic resin mixture is the first mounting medium developed for coverslipping directly from d-limonene based clearants. Superior results are also with xylene. CitraMount medium is recommended for manual coversliping only as it may cause damage to the valves of automated coverslippers. Clear seal has a drying time of less than 24 hours. Refractive index is 1.42 and Viscosity is 90 cP.

Citifluor mounting medium for immunofluorescence is designed to reduce the fading of the fluorescence of dyes used for labeling biological specimens. In the technique of fluorescence microscopy, the fluorescence is stimulated by high intensity UV and/or visible light. Absorption of the light populates an excited state of the dye (usually a singlet state) and this leads to fluorescence. However, the excited state of the dye may undergo chemical reaction, which leads to destruction as evidenced by the fading of the fluorescence and consequent loss of the image. This mounting medium is made with limonene, a natural product from orange peels. It preserves tissues and cell smears that can be dehydrated with organic solvents in immunohistochemistry, e.g. DAB and DAB with nickel or cobalt. Our Limonene-Mount also works well with alkaline phosphatase chromogens, and organic solvent resistant Supper Fast Red. It is also a good choice for mounting H and E stained slides.
